Turning ideas into experiences & capabilites
get to know me better →
I started as an artist. I didn't love the starving part, so I learned about design and business.
That's the short version of how I ended up here: running an early creative production agency, Maker and the Made, then moving into designing digital experiences, and from design into building and scaling businesses of my own and in working within enterprises in financial services, technology, healthcare, and entertainment, working with names like Disney, Electronic Arts, and IMG Media, anchored in one idea: design makes the systems and products people depend on to work better for them.

From there I landed in financial services, technology, healthcare, and entertainment, working with names like Disney, Electronic Arts, and U.S. Bank, anchored in one idea: design should make the systems and products people depend on actually work better for them.
I've led 0-1 product rollouts from startups to enterprise, taken existing products to improve their broken experiences, and the teams that collectively support them. Innovation means I get to do the work that see's where something is headed before it's ready, and my job is turning that into something the business can act on now and into the future.

LEADERSHIP
The skills that aren't on the portfolio.
Every project came down to the same things: getting people aligned, making the ambiguity workable, and leaving the team better than I found it.
Leading Teams
Building design, product, and innovation teams, and joining teams that already have their own way of working.
Sense Making
Moving an idea between executives, engineers, risk, and designers without losing what made it good.
Mentoring
Building the curriculum, playbooks, practice, and culture that let individuals and the teams keep going.
Decisions in Ambiguity
Most of my work starts before anyone knows the answer. Frameworks for deciding, and knowing which calls a person owns.
